Privacy Policy

Effective and last updated August 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes the limited information practices associated with tanspullman.com (the “Site”), operated for Tan's Chinese Restaurant (“Tan's,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

The Site is primarily an informational website. It does not provide customer accounts, web forms, online ordering, reservations, or payment processing.

1. Scope

This Policy applies to information processed when a visitor uses the Site. It does not govern an external website linked from the Site or replace the practices that apply to an in-person or telephone restaurant transaction.

Information provided directly to restaurant staff while ordering, asking a question, or requesting assistance is handled as part of the restaurant’s ordinary operations and applicable legal obligations.

2. Information the Site does not request

The Site does not ask visitors to submit a name, email address, mailing address, payment information, account credentials, medical information, allergy information, or other personal details.

Tan's has not configured advertising trackers, advertising pixels, behavioral advertising, audience analytics, or embedded social-media widgets on the Site. Normal use of the Site does not create a customer profile or enroll a visitor in marketing.

The Site’s own code does not set cookies. If a visitor manually chooses light or dark mode, the Site stores that appearance preference in the visitor’s browser using local storage. The preference stays on the visitor’s device and does not contain a name, contact information, or cross-site identifier. It can be removed through the browser’s site-data controls.

3. Technical information used to deliver the Site

A browser must transmit limited technical information for a website to load. Hosting, network, and security providers, including Render and Cloudflare, may therefore process information such as an Internet Protocol address, request date and time, requested page, referring address, browser or device characteristics, response status, and security or diagnostic information.

Those providers may create and retain operational or security records under their configurations, agreements, and privacy policies. This information may be used to deliver the Site, maintain availability, prevent abuse, investigate security events, troubleshoot defects, and comply with applicable law. Tan's does not use it for targeted advertising or automated decisions concerning visitors.

4. How information may be disclosed

Limited technical information may be processed by providers supporting website hosting, delivery, domain services, and security. Information may also be preserved or disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with lawful process, protect the Site or another person, investigate misuse, or establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim.

Tan's does not sell or rent personal information obtained through the Site and does not share Site information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Telephone communications

Selecting a telephone link may open the calling feature on the visitor’s device. The Site does not record the call or receive information merely because the link was selected.

If you call Tan's, information you voluntarily provide may be used to answer your question, respond to your request, or conduct ordinary restaurant business. Do not attempt to communicate an urgent food allergy or accommodation request through the Site because the Site has no submission form. Speak directly with restaurant staff before ordering.

6. External maps and links

The Site links to external services such as Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. Following an external link leaves the Site. The external operator’s own terms, privacy practices, accessibility, and technical behavior apply, and Tan's does not control them.

7. Retention and security

Tan's does not maintain a customer database from ordinary Site visits. Technical information processed by infrastructure providers may be retained according to provider settings, operational needs, and legal requirements.

Reasonable measures are used to reduce unnecessary collection and protect the Site. No website, network, provider, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.

8. Privacy choices and requests

You may decline to use the Site, remove the appearance preference through your browser, avoid following an external link, or call Tan's directly.

Depending on applicable law, a person may have rights concerning personal information associated with them. To make a privacy request, call (509) 339-6303 and state that the call concerns a website privacy request. Tan's may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, authority, and the information involved. Because the Site does not create visitor accounts or collect contact information, Tan's may not be able to associate routine technical records with a particular person.

Tan's will address an applicable request as required by law and subject to lawful exceptions.

9. Children’s privacy

The Site is a general restaurant-information website and does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13.

10. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be updated if the Site, providers, practices, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. A material change will be posted on this page before or when the changed practice begins, as applicable.

11. Contact

Questions about this Policy or the Site’s privacy practices may be directed to Tan's Chinese Restaurant at (509) 339-6303.
